Babin House of Party

What Dreams May Come

Is your child special?

Jeremiah and Christina Babin think so. Over the past five years, they've demonstrated their love and understanding of children with their remarkable customized parties that dazzle kids and parents alike. Short of hiring Robin Williams, what better way to enchant kids of all ages?

The Babins are pleased to share some photographs from their latest show: the 20th annual Holly Days celebration in October, sponsored by the Junior League.

Face painting by Babin House of PartyAs a returning featured attraction of Holly Days, the Babins were honored to host "Family Night" on Friday, October 17. The theme was Winter Wonderland. The show's features included theme face painting (a Babin House of Party specialty); three brand-new giant storybooks (4' by 8'); a three-dimensional snow castle backdrop including buildings and towers over ten feet tall; 24,000 pieces of snow confetti; and 1,200 handmade "snowballs."

On Saturday, October 18, the Babins provided more interactive fun at the vendors' stage with giant storybooks and Christmas carols. While Jeremiah strummed his guitar, dozens of children joined the singing on stage. The show's high note was the biggest "snowball" fight in Baton Rouge! "We threw snowballs at the audience as a finale -- they loved it," says Jeremiah.

Christina says there are still enough snowballs remaining to throw a Winter Wonderland Party at your house this December and January, if you call and book now.

Candy CannonRecent Babin House parties have ranged from a superhero training camp to a mystical fairy forest to an Indian Village -- each party providing custom made costumes and matching party favors for the guests. Besides the fantastic themes, all parties include music, dancing, games, and the one-and-only Candy Cannon, which blasts 350 toys and pieces of candy over 50 feet in the air. "It's a pinata on steroids!" declares an animated Jeremiah.

The Babins strive not only to raise the standard of family entertainment, they wish to bring families closer together. "We want to provide an atmosphere where the kids and Mom and Dad can have fun together and not be faking it," says Jeremiah. "Fun can include being a little silly, but we also want to educate children and parents that real fun can last a lifetime and not just provide a temporary distraction." In this quest for near constant fun, the Babins have changed the normal dynamics of kids' parties. Christina says, "Instead of wondering what you are going to do with 20 kids or more at your house for a two-hour party, you'll find the time flies by instead. In fact, we recommend a minimum of 30 kids at your party due to the amount of entertainment we provide. We're like your own personal festival -- only better!

"Business is booming," Christina says. "Please book your party three months in advance, but we recommend six to ensure your choice of a day, especially if you want a Saturday."
