"We're unique," says owner Jay Bennett. "If you go to a dealership to look at a boat, you'll need to go to the showroom floor. They don't have a lake out in back to take you out on the water and show you the benefits and features in motion. That's what we do here at Bennett's."

Specializing in Mastercraft and Monterey Boats, Bennett's has a model you are certain to like.

Jay makes sure his boat customers enjoy their visit. "Everyone gets to drive the boat. Mom drives, Dad drives, the kid drives. We show you how to put the boat on and take it off the trailer. It's really like a small boating course we offer when someone comes to look at our boats.

"We teach people a lot about a product they're interested in before they actually purchase it," adds Jay.

Skiers and wakeboarders, of course, are also lucky to find themselves on Bennett's lakes for a spectacular, and safer, day on the water.

"We're able to control the water conditions for our clients," says Jay. "It's a lot safer than public water, because only one boat is running on a lake at a time."

Bennett's always has a driver and an instructor in the boat, allowing each student to progress as quickly as possible. "Our excellent staff and operating policies keep people coming back."

Never water-skied or wakeboarded before? No problem, Jay says.

"We start beginners out in the swimming pool to learn how to handle the equipment, how to take it on and off."

On the other hand, adds Jay, "if you are highly experienced, we deal with that, too."

Indeed. The Bennett's facility has an international reputation for its coaching and training programs, and has been host to numerous world-class water events.

Jay Bennett, who has coached numerous U.S. teams and professionals, and is a multi-champion skier along with his wife and daughter, has selected only the best instructors to assist him at his facility. These highly talented and motivated instructors receive a "great deal of enjoyment in working with skiers and riders of all levels of ability," Jay says. For 25 years, this service and work ethic has served Bennett's customers, whether shopping for a boat, learning how to water ski, enjoying summer camp, or training for a competition.

Bennett's is located just twenty minutes from downtown Baton Rouge, and only ten minutes north of Metro Airports, just off Highway 61 heading towards Natchez. The town of Zachary is a few minutes away from the sparkling blue waters of Tri-Lakes, Inc., the Bennett's on-site lakes.

You don't have to be a water skier to appreciate the terrific Pro Shop on the premises, which offers a large variety of surf wear and sports wear as well as unique items. You'll also find major surf brands like Billabong, Rip Curl and Oneill; sunglasses from Oakley to Von Zipper; and daily shipments of the latest spring and summer styles at excellent prices.
