CiCi's PizzaSomething New from CiCi's Pizza!In the last issue of Business Profiles, we met John McClure, owner and operator of the two CiCi's Pizza restaurants currently open in Baton Rouge. Last month's article focused on the buffet, and the promise of a wide variety of fresh and hot pizza always ready for the guest at an unbelievably low price. "We are proud to offer one of the best dining values in town!" says John. "Our sauces and pizza dough are hand-made every day right here in our stores. We don't skimp with frozen dough or off-the-shelf sauces. We also use only real cheese on all of our pizzas. The real ingredients combined with the time and effort we put into producing our products really shows up on the buffet with some of the best tasting pizza anywhere!"
Along with the seemingly endless variety of pizza combinations available, CiCi's includes their newly expanded salad bar, pasta bar, and dessert selections in their buffet offering. You can get all of this for only $3.99 all day, every day. It's a no-brainer. The average family of four eats for around 20 dollars, the food is always hot and fresh, and everybody gets exactly what they want. In keeping with the family theme, CiCi's has added Kid's Nights on Mondays at the Siegen Lane location, and Tuesdays at the Corporate Boulevard store. All kids 10 and under eat for only 89 cents after 5 pm. Local balloon artist Randy Parker visits the stores on these nights offering each child a balloon sculpture of their own. Many parents enjoy the extra savings as well as the breather they can take while their children have a great time picking out their favorite pizza, watching cartoons on the TVs, and enjoying the video game room.
Specifically, John and Damon have been delivering orders for 10 or more giant pizzas to schools, churches, meetings, and company parties for quite some time. "And then we had to turn down an order for several hundred pizzas simply because we did not have a vehicle large enough to transport that much at one time. That didn't make any sense to me. The more pizza you need, the more you need our great deal. So, we bought a van! Now, we can cater orders for hundreds of pizzas!" CiCi's Pizza Baton Rouge is now proud to offer their pizza catering service to anyone in the Greater Baton Rouge area that needs lots of pizza! "We will deliver any order for 10 or more giant pizzas. We have bought warming bags to ensure it arrives hot and fresh, and between our two locations, we can be anywhere in the Baton Rouge area quickly." John adds, "The only requirement we have is that you give us a call at least 48 hours in advance to place the order. If we have time to prepare, we can deliver!" "There are many instances when groups need a lot of pizza. We get calls form churches for youth group functions, from local schools for lunches or parties, from businesses with employee appreciation parties, and from local athletic teams. Now with the van, we can deliver to anyone who needs 10 or more giants for any reason!" John explains that discounts for bulk pizzas are also available. "By staying out of the typical home delivery of 2 or 3 pizzas at a time, we can offer further discounts to those needing large orders. We can go as low as $5.00 per pizza for groups needing 20 or more pizzas at one time".

The buffet features many pizza lovers' favorites, such as pepperoni, cheese, and deep dish pizzas. And CiCi's offers many unique pizzas like Spinach-Alfredo, Bacon Cheddar, Barbecue, and Pizza Ole' — the taco pizza. John adds, "We are also proud to make any kind of pizza a guest might want if it's not already on the buffet. We can make any pizza in as little as five minutes. We'll make any combination as long as we have the ingredients!"
So, what's new at CiCi's Pizza? Catering! CiCi's is now venturing into this different aspect of the pizza business. "We have lots of loyal patrons who stop in and take advantage of our great deals on take-out pizzas," says John. A one-topping giant 16" pizza is only $6.99 at CiCi's. "We are able to keep our take-out prices low by staying out of the delivery business. We have tried to help out some of our friends by delivering their occasional larger orders. We decided to get serious about it, and explore our ability to do the catering of these larger orders on a regular basis. If we could do this in a consistent manner, we could offer our great pizza at a great price to those who need a lot of it!"
