Want a good used car at a good price?

"You want it, we got it," says Kelly Wallin, repeating the mantra from his television commercials. Sitting in his office at his dealership on Airline Highway, Kelly has the confident demeanor of a used car dealer who can back up his product with years of customer satisfaction.

"Purchasing a vehicle should be a happy moment, kind of like purchasing a house," says Wallin. "We're honest and upfront with our customers. Whatever it takes to help a customer get the vehicle, we'll do it."

Wallin's dealership carries a full line of 2000-0005 used cars, trucks, and SUV's, from Pontiac and Ford to Audi and Mercedes Benz and everything in between.

The large variety of low-mileage vehicles is offered up with personalized service by Wallin, who does most of the sales himself. "It's just me and one other sales associate," he says. "We're kind of a small operation, and we're not looking to get any bigger." Wallin smiles. "We're probably the nicest used car lot in the city. We cut no corners and make you feel at home."

Opened in September of 01, Wallin's Autoplex is also home to 1-800-BARNONE and other means of obtaining financing. "We have over 42 banks and finance companies to help customers get the car they want. If a customer requests a certain car, we can often get our hands on it within a few days.

"We pay particular attention when purchasing a vehicle," continues Wallin. "We make sure it's very clean, and that there are no problems with the title. Everything is under warranty. After the sale we have a second-to-none follow up. If there is anything wrong we'll take care of it for nothing. My customers call me up and speak to me personally."

Kelly is the proud father of a four children: Blake, Eleisa, Kelsi, and Erik. "They're all involved in sports," he says. "They're good athletes. One day I anticipate that one of them may take over the business for Dad. They're real good kids."

Wallin has been in the car business since 1988, starting as a salesman at Salisbury Dodge City where in 1990 he was fifth in the nation in Chrysler-Dodge sales. He moved on to be sales manager and finance manager for five years, learning all aspects of the business at Salsbury Dodge City. He has been self-employed since 1997.

"It was time to go into business for myself," says Kelly. "That's what I was trained to do. It's always been a dream of mine to be a car dealer."
